Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
